Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College seeks an adjunct Instructor to teach CompTIA courses (A+, Network+, Cybersecurity+) using hands-on labs and industry-aligned labs. The role emphasizes practical troubleshooting, classroom management, and student engagement across a diverse learning population.

The position requires delivering instruction on multiple GTCC campuses (Greensboro, Jamestown, High Point or Cameron) with possible day, evening, and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field from an accredited college or university.
• CompTIA A+ certification(s) (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA ITF+, CompTIA CySA+, or Cloud+).
• 2 years of professional experience in Information Technology or related field.
• Ability to teach CompTIA A+/Network+/CySA+/Security+ and related topics.
• Experience with hands-on labs and classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & teach departmental courses to include learner centred lesson plans and diverse instructional materials.
• Develop learner-centered lesson plans and employ strategies for different learning styles.
• Incorporate current technology in classroom, distance learning and lab environments.
• Maintain a quality learning environment and support student success.
• Coordinate teaching on day, evening and/or weekend hours across GTCC campuses.
