Job summary

MyComputerCareer is seeking an Adjunct Lead Instructor for the Raleigh Campus. This role focuses on teaching courses in CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and more, fostering a dynamic classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree and have substantial experience in the IT field, along with teaching experience, to motivate students toward academic success. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of practical work experience in the IT industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with classroom and online instruction.
  • Currently have (or can obtain) relevant IT certifications.

  • Teach assigned courses like CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft AZ-900.
  • Facilitate an engaging classroom experience.
  • Provide leadership and support to students.

Job description

Adjunct Lead Instructor (as needed) – Raleigh Campus

Schedule: Mon‑Thurs: 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm EST

Location: Onsite, Raleigh Campus

Hourly rate: $37.00 /hour

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned cohorts of students in the assigned academic delivery methodologies the following courses in rotation: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft AZ‑900, AI‑900, and Linux Essentials LPI 10‑160.
  • Model and cultivate a team culture of excitement and passion for changing student lives.
  • Provide motivational leadership for instructors and students focusing on respect and setting an exemplary example.
  • Facilitate an organized, informed, engaging classroom experience that encourages retention, course completion, and certification of assigned students.
  • Use various communication tools (phone, chat, email, text, video, or in‑person) to directly communicate with and coach students of concern.
  • Respond timely and accurately to student questions and concerns.
  • Contribute to encouraging and motivating students regarding commitment to the program, pursuit of high academic achievement, and preparation to take certification exams.
  • Deliver curriculum and instructional activities to provide students with an outstanding academic and training experience during each class session that prepares them for certification exams.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities, per the published syllabus.
  • Maintain discipline and manage student behavior in accordance with the policies and disciplinary systems of the school.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the academic and training program by providing constructive feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology or a related field; or combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in the IT industry (within last 10 years) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with classroom and online instruction is preferred.
  • Candidates with varying combinations of technical training experience and practical work experience will be considered.
