Job summary

Jungle Jim's Pharmacy in Ohio seeks a Compounding Certified Pharmacy Technician Trainer to lead, develop, and coordinate training for sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding staff, ensuring adherence to USP 795, 797, and 800, as well as HIPAA and OSHA standards.

The role combines training with hands‑on compounding duties, onboarding and competency assessments, and collaboration with Pharmacy Leadership, Quality Assurance, and HR to maintain safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with active licensure and good standing.
• Advanced knowledge of sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding.
• Strong understanding of USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 requirements.
• Experience training, mentoring, coaching pharmacy staff, and developing competencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of departmental training programs.
• Onboard new hires and provide hands-on instruction in aseptic technique and compounding procedures.
• Monitor trainee progress through competency assessments and sign-offs.
• Maintain standardized training materials, SOPs, and documentation.
• Partner with Quality Assurance, HR, and Pharmacy Leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
