Job summary

Option Care Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to work under a licensed Pharmacist in a clean room, performing compounding duties at least 50% of the time to ensure safe, accurate medication preparation and smooth operations.

You will assist with prescription compounding, preparation, dispensing, labeling, and basic calculations, maintain temperature and cleaning logs, participate in incident reporting, and support site and equipment maintenance while delivering

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication related incidents.
• Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspects equipment and documents any equipment failures or defects.
• Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
