The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to policies while supporting patient care in a clean-room environment. Core responsibilities include processing prescriptions, maintaining equipment and logs, and ensuring precise calculations and labeling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered if required by state.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies per policies and state standards.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in reporting medication-related incidents.
• Maintains pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hood cleanliness.
• Inspects equipment and documents defects; maintains temperature and cleaning logs.
