Job summary

Anduril Industries in Ashville, OH is seeking a Product Sourcing Engineer, Composites to drive strategic supply development and cost management for the Autonomous Airpower (Fury) product portfolio as it ramps to production.

You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and manufacturing to champion composite materials, tooling, BOMs, qualifications (FAI/AS9102) and cost engineering to minimize total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, and manufacturing experience for composite structures.
• Domain expertise in composite manufacturing processes (layup, cure, trim/drill, bonding, NDI).
• Experience with AS9100 suppliers and First Article Inspection (AS9102).
• Willingness to travel 15–25% and relocate onsite to Ashville, OH.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection for composite materials, fabricated parts, and tooling.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to ramp production: capacity/readiness planning, cure/NDI capability assessments, should-cost models, SOW-based qualification, and DFM reviews.
• Drive development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing for ramping production.
• Manage composite tooling CAPEX through production ramp.
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessment including alternate materials and suppliers.
• Ensure completion of supplier/part qualifications (FAI/AS9102) ahead of production.
• Manage composite material risks: shelf life, out-time, cold-chain logistics, and minimum buys.
• Lead cost engineering to converge bottoms-up cost curve to product cost and address tariffs/inflation.
