Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer to support its Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL, fabricating advanced composite rocket motor hardware. The role requires hands-on process leadership and strong project management with a focus on lean improvements.

Expect to craft detailed work instructions, PFMEAs, JSAs, and collaborate across design, shop floor, and management to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with manufacturing experience.
• Graduate degree or more experience preferred.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead process management activities and create documentation.
• Plan and maintain processes for fabrication of composite parts.
• Provide technical guidance to shop floor and management teams.
• Improve processes using Lean methodologies.
• Travel up to 5% and support weekend schedules.
