Job summary

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando is seeking an Electromechanical Design Engineer to shape architecture and validation of advanced circuit-card packages and interconnects. You will guide cross‑functional teams, mentor engineers, and deliver reliable hardware on schedule and within budget.

The role requires BS in engineering, 5+ years in electromechanical design, CREO proficiency, and DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related STEM field; MS or PhD preferred
• Minimum 5 years of professional electromechanical engineering experience
• Proficient in CREO modeling and electromechanical system design
• Proficient with CCA/PWB, cable/harness design and electronic packaging
• Technical or project leadership experience in high‑reliability electronics
• Experience leading engineering projects across full lifecycle and EV management
• Strong communication skills and cross‑location collaboration
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Architect advanced circuit‑card packages, high‑density PCBs, and interconnects.
• Lead integrated product teams and mentor engineers across functions.
• Perform thermal, signal integrity, and EMI analyses for DoD environments.
• Drive design assurance reviews and corrective actions to closure.
• Manage risk, schedule, and EV metrics; report to senior leadership.
• Coordinate with systems, hardware, software, test, and supply chain.
• Set technical direction based on customer needs and program goals.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation in PLM tools.
