Job summary

Child and Family Guidance Center (CFGC) in the Los Angeles area seeks a Full-time Compliance Specialist for the Balboa site in Northridge. The role centers on chart reviews and ensuring documentation complies with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) requirements.

The position is fully onsite, with typical hours Monday–Friday 8:30 am–5:30 pm and a starting salary of $21.50 per hour. Strong bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred and attention to detail are key assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in medical/administrative/office setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Must work independently and meet deadlines.
• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs chart reviews to ensure compliance with LACDMH regulations and requirements across open case charts, discharge cases, terminating staff charts, and annual documentation.
• Tracks and reviews Transfer Case/Assignment Notices, Treatment Objectives, Annual Reviews, Diagnosis Updates, and Discharge Summaries.
• Creates treatment plans for annual coordinated care review.
• Meets monthly with clinical staff to review and clear overdue items.
• Closes cases in the in-house system and updates changes in the information system.
• Responsible for Services Tracking and acts as back-up for other departmental administrative positions.
• Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 am- 5:30 pm, 1-hour meal period.
• Starting Salary: $21.50/hour.
• FSLA: Non-Exempt.
• Fully Onsite.
