Job summary

Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) seeks a Compliance Coordinator I to ensure adherence to federal, state, and TAMUS regulations. The role monitors compliance, applies internal controls, and implements regulatory updates.

As Records Officer, you will manage the state records program, respond to FOIA requests, and oversee the agency's procedures process under the Ethics and Compliance Director. The position reports to the Ethics and Compliance Director and requires a Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of related experience in records management, including record retention, student records, Open Records, or control over forms, reports, and correspondence.
• Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Equivalency: Associate's degree with five years of related experience or HS diploma/GED with seven years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure organizational adherence to federal, state, and TAMUS regulatory requirements.
• Audit and monitor compliance using internal controls to identify and correct noncompliance.
• Implement process changes in response to new or updated regulations.
• Act as Records Officer: manage state records program, retention, FOIA responses, and subpoenas.
• Oversee the agency's Standard Administrative Procedures and Rules process.
• Reports to the Ethics and Compliance Director.
