ABOUT THE JOB:

The Compliance & Licensing Specialist is primarily responsible for performing the day-to-day processes required to keep WillScot’s title, registration and occupational licenses accurate, current and up-to-date to prevent any business interruption. This role will be required to interact with regulatory agencies on a regular basis to effect positive outcomes; this includes Department of Motor Vehicles, Licensing Boards, Departments of Housing or the equivalent which varies by jurisdiction.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Obtaining and maintaining the required business and salesperson occupational licenses, without any lapses, restrictions or cancellations.
  • Ensuring every modular, storage and other business-owned asset is properly titled, registered and/or certificated in accordance with state laws, company policies, business practices and the term and conditions of the presiding Asset Based Lending (ABL) agreement.
  • Monitoring, auditing and storage of contract documents and customer acceptance for all order originations.
  • Prepares and submits required documentation for:
    • Renewal of dealer and manufacturer licenses
    • New dealer and manufacturer licenses in support of branch expansion and/or relocation.
    • Title applications and annual registration renewals in titled states
  • Assists and supports:
    • Salespersons in the renewal of required salespersons licenses.
    • Required qualifiers in meeting state educational requirements and prepares and submits paperwork to update the qualifiers to occupational licenses where required.
    • Maintaining procedures manual; updates as required with changes in process.
    • Training of team members to ensure peers attain full proficiency in all processes.
    • Retitling of acquired assets and modification of occupational licenses resulting from mergers and acquisitions.
    • Customers, state agencies and branch personnel on as-needed basis about licensing-related procedures and requirements.
  • Respond to branch and customer inquiries.
  • Audits the new order acceptance process and ensures contractual agreements and other sensitive documents are properly recorded in the system of record and properly stored for easy retrieval when needed.
  • Other assigned duties, as required from time to time.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Required Education level: High School Diploma/GED
  • Preferred Education Level: Associate Degree
  • Years of related experience: 1+ Years of clerical experience
  • Required Skills:
    • Microsoft Office skills are essential with particular emphasis on MS Word and Excel.
    • Strong oral and verbal communication skills.
    • Previous clerical experience a must.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • General knowledge of accounting is preferred.
    • Previous experience with commercial asset registration and/or occupational licensing, either nationally (United States) or internationally (North America).
    • Salesforce and SAP proficiency a plus
