Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a caseload of licensed foster families.
  • Complete accurate case documentation and agency paperwork promptly.
  • Coordinate services with clients, families, and other service providers.
  • Conduct monthly home visits for foster families with placements and quarterly visits for those without.
  • Participate in Child Family Team (CFT) meetings, court appearances, Team Decision Meetings (TDM), and other structured engagements to support permanency goals.
  • Intervene to reduce conflict or stress within families and with involved parties.
  • Document communications with entities other than DCS within ten (10) business days, including contact details and summaries.
  • Ensure foster providers comply with program policies and licensing requirements.
  • Drive personal vehicle for program-related activities.
  • Access community resources to assist families.
  • Educate families on decision-making processes.
  • Seek resolutions through problem-solving and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Remain impartial and objective.
  • Attend relevant staff training sessions.
  • Complete amendments, renewals, and ensure provider files are up-to-date in Extended Reach.
  • Assist in translating barriers and successes into system changes.
  • Support utilization management and attend external agency meetings as needed.
  • Assist in program development and in writing initial home studies if required.
  • Maintain and report client demographic and licensing information.
  • Utilize required programs and technologies effectively.
  • Complete all required reports timely.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, or Human Services preferred.

Experience:

  • At least one (1) year of experience working with caregivers or in child welfare.
  • Experience can include education, training, and related service delivery.
  • Ability to relate well with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in cultural diversity and assessing family strengths and needs.
  • Knowledge of medication and interventions, and ability to recognize abuse or neglect.

Compliance:

  • Relias Training as assigned.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and a 39-month motor vehicle record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
