Job summary

Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to help manage guest service, quality, inventory, budgeting, and reporting across our downtown properties. You will coordinate the AC Hotel Tuscaloosa Downtown and Home2 Suites F&B teams and ensure smooth daily operations.

The ideal candidate has two years of F&B supervisory experience, a high school diploma, fluent English, strong math and communication skills, and availability mornings, evenings,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years Food and Beverage experience including some supervisory training/experience.
• Hospitality industry background preferred.
• Strong communication and math skills for budgeting and cost control.
• Ability to read, write, and document tasks; English fluency required.
• Willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of all Food and Beverage operations, including guest service, quality, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, marketing, reporting, department management and meeting participation and facilitation.
• Support the F&B teams at Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown and AC Hotel Tuscaloosa Downtown.
• Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation, monitor cost and portion controls.
• Supervise and develop team members, including scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and recognition.
• Greet guests, respond to inquiries, resolve concerns, and monitor satisfaction trends.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol standards.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing and training team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of all Food and Beverage operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, food and beverage quality, inventory management, systems management, budget and forecasting, marketing, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation.
• Support the AC Hotel Tuscaloosa Downtown and the Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown food & beverage teams.
• Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation and monitor cost and portion controls.
• Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
• Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolve guest concerns
• Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing and training team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years Food and Beverage experience including some supervisory training/experience.
• Previous background from the hospitality industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Reading and writing abilities are required in order to document tasks completed, to order supplies, to receive instructions for the day and/or to read equipment manuals including safety information.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances.
• Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Will be required to work mornings, evening, weekends, and holidays.
