Job summary

CNA seeks a Complex Claims Consultant for Large Law claims, handling complex malpractice across the globe, evaluating coverage, setting reserves, negotiating settlements, and directing litigation.

The role operates in a hybrid, multi-office environment with collaboration from claim leadership and business partners; requires 6+ years of experience, a JD preferred, and an active insurance license or ability to obtain one within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; JD preferred.
• Typically minimum six years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.
• Professional designations preferred (e.g. CPCU).

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of highly complex professional liability claims.
• Verifies coverage, develops reserves and investigates liability and damages.
• Negotiates complex settlements and coordinates litigation with counsel.
• Mentors junior claim professionals and shares expertise.
