Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) invites students to join as an intern/co-op in a hybrid/onsite format, working 40 hours per week across multiple U.S. locations including Boxborough, MA, and Austin, TX.

You will help develop a compiler for the P4 language for AMD ASICs and gain mentorship from senior engineers. Applicants should be enrolled in a US university with a CS/CE/EE major and have experience with C++, data structures, and compilers. Knowledge of GitHub/CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university pursuing a Bachelor's (CS/CE/EE) or related field.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented languages, preferably C++.
• Experience with compilers, data structures, and programming languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on a compiler for the P4 language targeting a domain-specific architecture in AMD ASICs.
• Contribute to the build and development of the compiler using open-source tools like LLVM and P4C.
• Collaborate with compiler customers and the ASIC team to deliver solutions.
• Receive mentorship from senior engineers to improve skills.
