Job summary

AMD is seeking an intern/co-op to join its engineering team in San Jose, CA. You will work on a compiler for the P4 language targeting AMD ASICs, contributing to the LLVM-based build and related tooling.

You will collaborate with the ASIC team and receive mentorship from senior engineers while working in a hybrid or onsite setup for the duration of the term. You must be enrolled in a US university (CS/CE/EE or related) and have strong C++ knowledge, data structures, and compiler coursework.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a US-based Bachelor's in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• Knowledge of object-oriented languages, preferably C++.
• Familiarity with compilers, data structures and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Work on a compiler for the P4 language targeting a domain-specific architecture in AMD ASICs.
• Contribute to the build and development of the compiler (LLVM-based) and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with compiler customers and the ASIC team; receive mentorship from senior engineers.
