Job summary

AMD is seeking a master's student to join as an Intern/Co-op in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering. You will contribute to building a compiler for the P4 language targeting AMD ASIC architectures, working with LLVM and P4C in a collaborative, mentorship-rich environment.

You'll collaborate with compiler customers and the ASIC team, gain hands-on experience on real projects, and develop software design skills in a fast-paced tech company.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university in a Master's program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in object-oriented languages (C++ preferred) and have coursework/experience in compilers, data structures, and programming languages.
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on a compiler for the P4 language targeting a domain-specific architecture implemented in AMD ASICs.
• Contribute to the build and development of the compiler based on LLVM and P4C.
• Collaborate with compiler customers and the dedicated ASIC team building the target ASICs.
• Receive mentorship from senior engineers to improve your skills.
