Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) seeks an intern to work on a compiler for the P4 language targeting a domain-specific architecture in our ASIC family. You will contribute to the build and development of the compiler using LLVM and P4C, and collaborate with the ASIC team for practical integration.

You will be mentored by senior engineers and gain hands-on experience on projects impacting millions of end-users, in a hybrid onsite setting at AMD campuses in the United States.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a US-based university pursuing a Master’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• Strong programming fundamentals and coursework in compilers, data structures, and languages.
• Familiar with GitHub and CI/CD practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop a compiler for the P4 language targeting an ASIC-family domain-specific architecture.
• Contribute to the compiler build and led development using LLVM and P4C based on modern software design principles.
• Collaborate with compiler customers and the ASIC team to align deliverables and timelines.
• Receive mentorship from senior engineers to amplify skills during the internship.
