Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking a Compensation Representative to support the Compensation team within Corporate Human Resources. You will help design and administer base pay and incentives to attract and retain talent, aligning programs with the company’s pay-for-performance philosophy.

The role collaborates with business units, conducts market benchmarking, and produces reports while applying FLSA and EPA regulations to ensure fair and competitive compensation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline preferred with minimum 4 years relevant work experience.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree (preferred), minimum 7 years relevant work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Oracle experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze large quantities of data.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to provide guidance to leadership in nonstandard situations.
• Able to manage and prioritize multiple work assignments with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the implementation and administration of non-bargaining compensation programs, policies, and guidelines.
• Reviewing and making compensation recommendations on internal and external offers.
• Analyzing compensation surveys to determine trends and equity.
• Consulting with leaders on compensation practices and processes.
• Providing project management and analytical support on special projects.
• Driving educational and communication efforts related to compensation programs.
• Compiling reports and statistics for various compensation initiatives.
• Applying regulatory requirements related to compensation (FLSA, EPA, etc.).
• Recommending process improvements for complex issues.
