Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Compensation Representative to design and provide market-competitive total rewards, support base pay reviews, and align programs with pay-for-performance principles.

The role partners with business units to attract and retain talent, supports multiple compensation initiatives, and reports to the Manager, Employee Compensation. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline preferred; minimum 4 years relevant work experience.
• In lieu of a bachelor's degree, minimum 7 years relevant work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and administration of non-bargaining compensation programs, policies, and guidelines, including the annual base pay review, short-term incentive program, and benchmarking.
• Review and make compensation recommendations on internal and external offers.
• Analyze compensation surveys to determine market trends and ensure internal equity.
• Consult with leaders on compensation practices and processes.
• Provide project management and analytical support on key compensation projects.
• Drive educational and communication efforts related to compensation programs across the organization.
