Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Compensation Representative to support the Compensation team in Corporate HR. The role designs competitive base pay and total rewards, benchmarks against the market, and partners with business units to attract and retain key talent.

The position reports to the Manager, Employee Compensation and emphasizes data-driven analysis, process improvements, and clear communication with leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline preferred with minimum 4 years relevant work experience.
• In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience is required.
• Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Oracle experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze large quantities of data and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple work assignments with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to guide leadership in nonstandard situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the annual base pay review (Pay-for-Performance) and short-term incentive programs.
• Review and make compensation recommendations on internal and external offers.
• Analyze compensation surveys to determine market trends and internal equity.
• Consult with leaders on compensation practices and processes.
• Provide project management and analytical support for compensation projects.
• Develop educational and communication materials on compensation programs.
