Job summary

Gusto is hiring a Compensation Partner to steward compensation programs across the People team. You will partner with HRBPs, Finance, Legal, and leaders to ensure market-aligned, data-driven pay decisions, with an emphasis on accuracy and timely deliverables.

You will automate recurring analyses, run audits, and support compliance with pay regulations while protecting confidentiality. This role emphasizes scalable, auditable processes and strong collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Compensation, Total Rewards, People Ops, or related analytical function.
• Hands-on AI tools to accelerate analysis, research, or documentation.
• Strong Excel skills: lookups, pivots, formulas; spot data anomalies.
• Attention to detail; able to own recurring, deadline-driven work.
• Experience with salary bands, benchmarking, or offer modeling.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of compensation programs and cycles (merit, equity refresh, benchmarking).
• Serve as first point of contact for compensation questions from HRBPs, recruiters, and managers.
• Model and prepare recommendations against bands and internal equity; ensure data integrity across systems.
• Prepare recurring reports and ad hoc analyses for People and Finance partners.
• Use AI/automation to reduce manual work while validating outputs when needed.
