Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Compensation Intern for the summer to assist with market analysis, salary surveys, data audits, and documentation. The role offers exposure to compensation systems while supporting data analysis, reporting, and project work.

You will gain experience with pay equity analysis, workforce planning, and process improvements, while collaborating with the team on data collection and presentation materials. 10% or less travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program required. Interest in Human Resources strongly preferred.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Human Resources, Financial Analysis, Statistics/Data Analytics, or Economics.
• In the office 3 days a week.
• Familiar with Excel and data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with salary survey participation by helping to prepare data for survey submissions, validate employee/job information, and identify missing data.
• Support compliance efforts by assisting with audits, record reviews, and documentation updates to include wage and pay transparency requirements.
• Assist with special projects related to compensation programs, pay equity analysis, workforce planning, and process improvements.
• Support the collection, review, and organization of compensation data from internal and external sources.
• Help maintain compensation reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards.
• Assist with job description updates by gathering information, formatting documents, and tracking revisions.
• Review compensation data for accuracy and identify potential discrepancies
• Assist in preparing summary reports, presentations, and communication materials for compensation projects.
• Participate in team meetings and planning sessions.
