Position Description:

As a Compensation Consultant, you will collaborate with managers and leadership to ensure accurate and timely compensation consultations. Your role includes analyzing compensation trends, guiding annual planning, developing data presentations, and working with HR teams such as Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Data, HRIS, Faculty Affairs, and Talent Planning and Development.

Primary Functions
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform job mapping and compile data for global compensation surveys.
  • Review and analyze requests for new or revised positions to determine salary grades.
  • Conduct market pricing to maintain competitiveness.
  • Maintain job descriptions and employee files.
  • Perform job evaluations to ensure consistency and appropriate classifications.
  • Evaluate departmental compensation budgets.
  • Analyze and present detailed data insights to stakeholders.
  • Support organizational decision-making with reports and dashboards.
  • Research and measure compensation solutions for competitiveness.
  • Utilize various software tools for data analysis and presentation.
  • Create visual data displays for executive reporting.
  • Handle general compensation inquiries and delegate as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Certification: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

All remote work must be performed within one of the MCW registered payroll states: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, and UT.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, confidentiality, integrity, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to conceptualize, prioritize, and manage stressful situations effectively.

Schedule and Requirements

Preferred Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Position Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum Experience: 1-2 years in compensation, HR, financial reporting, or analytics, or equivalent.

Preferred: Compensation Certification.

Target salary range: $64,300 - $81,400 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
