What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the development and implementation of annual compensation programs and projects
- Consult with leaders on compensation policies, job offers, and salary administration
- Evaluate and market-price job positions, providing recommendations for salary ranges
- Support audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to federal and state laws
- Stay informed on compensation market trends and share insights with leadership
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in compensation
- Knowledge of federal and state laws related to compensation practices
- Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables), and PowerPoint
- Experience with human resources information systems and commercial market pricing databases
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros and complex formulas
- Experience in healthcare or government contracting organizations
- Background in benefits and/or human resources systems
- Certification such as PHR, SPHR, or CCP (Certified Compensation Professional)
- Experience providing training or guidance on HR systems or processes
