Position Description:

Role: Compensation Consultant

You will collaborate with managers and leadership to ensure accurate compensation practices, analyze trends, and support annual planning. Develop data presentations and work with HR teams including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Data, HRIS, Faculty Affairs, and Talent Planning & Development.

Primary Functions
  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, domestically and internationally.
  2. Perform job mapping and compile compensation data for global surveys to maintain competitive pay practices.
  3. Review requests for new or revised positions for appropriate salary grading.
  4. Conduct market pricing analyses to ensure competitiveness, maintaining wage and salary guidelines.
  5. Maintain job description templates and employee records.
  6. Perform job evaluations for consistency in titles and grades, using FLSA standards.
  7. Evaluate departmental compensation budgets annually.
  8. Analyze granular data, summarize findings, and present to stakeholders.
  9. Support organizational decision-making with reports and dashboards.
  10. Research and measure compensation solutions for competitiveness.
  11. Utilize databases, spreadsheets, and statistical tools for data analysis and presentation.
  12. Create visual data displays for senior management.
  13. Handle initial inquiries via the compensation inbox, delegating as necessary.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
  15. Certification: CCP preferred.

Remote work is permitted within MCW-registered states: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN, TX, UT.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, stress management, confidentiality, integrity, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to conceptualize, prioritize, and plan effectively.

Preferred Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 1-2 years in compensation, HR, or analytics; equivalent combination acceptable.

Certification: Compensation Certification preferred.

Salary range: $64,300 - $81,400 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
