Position Description

We're looking for creative thinkers and innovation seekers who aim to change the world. Discover opportunities within the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and contribute to improving health and community well-being.

As a Compensation Consultant, you will collaborate with managers and leadership to ensure accurate and timely compensation advice, analyze trends, and support annual planning. You will develop presentations and work with HR teams including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Data, HRIS, Faculty Affairs, and Talent Planning and Development.

Primary Functions
  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Perform job mapping and compile data for global compensation surveys.
  3. Review requests for new or revised positions for salary grading.
  4. Conduct market pricing to maintain competitiveness.
  5. Maintain job descriptions and employee files.
  6. Perform job evaluations for consistency and appropriate classification.
  7. Evaluate departmental compensation budgets.
  8. Analyze and present detailed data findings to stakeholders.
  9. Support organizational leadership with reports and business analysis.
  10. Research and measure compensation solutions.
  11. Utilize databases and software for data analysis and presentation.
  12. Create visual data displays for senior management.
  13. Manage general compensation inquiries.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
  15. Preferred Certification: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

Note: Remote work is permissible within MCW registered payroll states.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, stress management, confidentiality, integrity, and organizational skills are essential.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 1-2 years in compensation, HR, or analytics, or equivalent.

Preferred: Compensation Certification.

Target salary range: $64,300 - $81,400 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
