Job summary

TriQuest Business Services is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Analyst II in San Antonio, Texas. This full-time role supports the administration, analysis, and improvement of employee compensation and benefits programs, collaborating with HR, Payroll, Accounting, management and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in compensation and benefits, advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and detail orientation, and experience with 401(k), ESOP, retirement plan admin and benchmarking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits.
• Experience with retirement plan administration.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.

Responsibilities

• Administer compensation, benefits, 401(k), and ESOP programs.
• Manage employee eligibility, enrollment, plan changes, distributions, rollovers, loans, and other participant transactions.
• Support annual Open Enrollment, employee communications, benefit fairs, and individual enrollment assistance.
• Conduct compensation benchmarking, salary surveys, job evaluations, and market analysis.
• Evaluate positions for appropriate exempt/nonexempt classification and compensation ranges.
• Research compensation trends and support pay equity and competitive compensation initiatives.
• Perform monthly Health & Welfare premium deduction audits.
• Prepare and distribute ESOP and Total Compensation Statements.
• Support retirement plan compliance testing, audits, year-end reconciliations, and Form 5500 reporting.
• Prepare required plan documents, reports, and regulatory filings.
• Partner with brokers, recordkeepers, third-party administrators, auditors, Payroll, Accounting, and HR.
• Provide employees and managers with guidance regarding compensation and benefits.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee and benefits records.
• Support HR initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
