Job summary

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Compensation and Labor Relations Specialist in St. Paul, MN.

The role supports administration of collective bargaining agreements, compensation programs, and HRIS/payroll systems within a collaborative HR team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will engage with Finance and organizational leaders to ensure accurate, compliant HR operations and data management.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, with direct experience in human resources, compensation, HRIS, payroll, labor relations administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting collective bargaining agreement administration.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices, including wage structures and pay administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for administration of collective bargaining agreements and compensation programs.
  • Support day-to-day labor relations administration, compensation analysis, HRIS maintenance, and reporting.

Salary Range: $72,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

The Compensation and Labor Relations Specialist provides operational support for the administration of collective bargaining agreements and the implementation of compensation programs. This role ensures contract provisions, compensation practices, and HR systems are administered accurately, consistently, and in compliance with organizational policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws.

Working under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, this position supports day-to-day labor relations administration, compensation analysis, HRIS maintenance, and reporting. As part of a collaborative HR team, the Specialist partners with the HR Manager, Finance, and organizational leaders to ensure efficient and compliant HR operations.

  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices, including wage structures and pay administration.

  • Problem Solving: Identifies problems and uses logic, judgment, and data to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions to achieve the desired organizational goal or outcome.
  • HR Data Management: Manages employee information, benefits, and payroll in HRIS tools.
  • Communication: Delivers clear, effective communication and takes responsibility for understanding others.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
  • Exercises sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in protecting employee privacy and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
