Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking compassionate Wellness Resident Assistants to assist residents with activities of daily living in our Ohio communities. You will provide cheerful, timely care and support independence alongside a dedicated care team.

Under the supervision of a nurse, you will respond quickly to emergencies, help residents with ADLs, and contribute to a respectful, person-centered environment across our housing, home health, and hospice services.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma/GED
• Certification: First Aid Course
• Experience: Previous Nursing Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide encouragement and high-quality care in a cheerful, timely manner
• Assist residents with ADLs, including teeth care, toileting, bathing, incontinence and dressing in a caring and supportive manner as needed per resident
• Provide supervision, cueing or other non-weight-bearing assistance related to transfer ambulation as needed per resident
• Roll carts, laundry hampers and other equipment safely through work and resident areas
• Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with resident needs and team structure
• Work as a team under the supervision and direction of the nurse in charge
• Quickly respond to emergency calls from Independent Living residents as directed by the nurse in charge
