Gateway Services Inc. is seeking a Veterinary Route Service Specialist to manage a demanding route, handle pets with care, and maintain strong clinic relationships in the Charlotte area.

You will be the primary on-site liaison between Gateway and veterinary partners, ensuring dignity and accuracy in every pickup and delivery. The role emphasizes independence, reliability, and emotional resilience, with training provided for those new to pet aftercare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service, account management, or route-based experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and CRM systems.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review daily routes and verify all items before departure.
• Visit clinics, build professional relationships, and follow clinic procedures.
• Retrieve deceased pets respectfully, with awareness of public and clinic environments.
• Use company technology to scan pets at pickup and delivery; verify names and IDs.
• Document requests and complete all follow through.
• Interact with pet parents with compassion and professionalism.
• Return to the Care Center to unload pets and hand off to Operations.
• Maintain full responsibility for each pet until properly received and documented.
• Deliver consistent, compassionate service while gathering feedback.
