Gateway Services Inc. is seeking a Veterinary Route Service Specialist in Wheat Ridge, CO. This full-time, hourly role manages a demanding route, handles pets with care, and serves as the primary contact for clinics while upholding dignity and accuracy throughout pickups and deliveries.

You will build clinic relationships, ensure pets are transported safely, and document details precisely. The role requires independence, organization, and compassion in emotionally sensitive situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service, account management, or route-based experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and CRM systems.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review daily routes and load required equipment for departure.
• Visit assigned veterinary clinics and build strong professional relationships.
• Retrieve deceased pets respectfully, with awareness of environments.
• Use company tech to scan pets at pickup and delivery; verify names and IDs.
• Document requests accurately and complete all follow-through.
• Interact with pet parents occasionally with compassion and professionalism.
• Return to Care Center to unload pets and complete handoffs.
• Maintain responsibility for each pet until properly received and documented.
• Serve as the primary clinic contact, addressing questions promptly.
• Deliver high quality, compassionate service and seek feedback to improve.
• Complete route stops accurately and on time; follow safety policies.
• Maintain vehicle, equipment, and uniform cleanliness and professionalism.
• Support basic account-related administrative tasks.
• Provide clinics with information on services and commemorative options.
• Identify service opportunities and refer leads to Business Development.
