South Kendall Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled veterinary assistant/receptionist to be the primary contact for clients and their pets. This role blends administrative precision with warmth across a range of interactions, including emotionally sensitive situations.

Expect a high-volume front desk environment with opportunities to assist veterinarians and care for animals, while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service in Palmetto Bay, Florida.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary front desk or assistant experience.
• Experience with practice management software preferred.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and vaccination protocols.
• Ability to manage high-volume client relations with composure.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify records, and confirm appointments.
• Answer multi-line calls, schedule appointments, process payments, and explain invoices.
• Communicate medical information with empathy, including end-of-life discussions.
• Maintain EMR/PIMS data entry and keep reception area clean and organized.
• Assist veterinarians during exams and treatments, and restrain animals safely.
• Prepare rooms, perform basic lab tests, and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Coordinate with team to maintain efficient patient flow.
