South Kendall Animal Hospital in Palmetto Bay, Florida, seeks a skilled veterinary assistant/receptionist to be the primary contact for clients and their pets.

The role blends front-desk duties with clinical support, requiring warm professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations.

You will work Monday through Friday, with every other Saturday, and join a team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary front desk or assistant role.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to veterinary care.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to manage high-volume client relations with composure.

Responsabilités

• Greet and check in clients and patients and update medical records.
• Answer a multi-line phone system and schedule appointments.
• Process payments, post charges and explain invoices.
• Communicate medical information and care instructions empathetically.
• Maintain EMR data entry and clinic cleanliness.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures.
