Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software is preferred.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and vaccination protocols helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system and inquiries regarding scheduling, prescriptions, and records.
• Process client checkout, payments, and scheduling follow-ups; explain invoices.
• Communicate medical information and care instructions compassionately, including end-of-life discussions when needed.
• Maintain accurate EMR and ensure timely data entry in PIMS.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to relay messages and maintain client flow.
• Keep reception area and waiting room clean and organized for a positive experience.
