Job summary

Caring Hands Clarendon is seeking a skilled veterinary receptionist to be the primary contact for clients and their pets. The role blends administrative precision with warmth across a range of interactions, including emotionally sensitive situations.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development. Schedule includes weekdays with alternating Saturdays, and compensation ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system and scheduling inquiries.
• Process payments, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups.
• Convey medical information and care instructions with empathy, including end-of-life discussions.
• Maintain accurate EMR data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Keep reception area clean and welcoming.
