Job summary

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year at a veterinary front desk, familiarity with Cornerstone/Avimark/ImproMed/eVetPractice/ezyVet, and strong communication skills to support clients and the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software such as Cornerstone/Avimark/ImproMed/eVetPractice/ezyVet.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and front-desk processes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update records, and confirm appointment details.
• Answer a multi-line phone system and handle scheduling, refills, records, and info requests.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups.
• Convey medical information compassionately, including end-of-life discussions.
• Maintain accurate EMR and data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to maintain patient flow.
• Keep reception area clean and welcoming.
