A Pet’s Place Animal Hospital in Longmont, Colorado is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, and assist with routine in-house lab work. You will prepare patients for surgery, educate clients, and help with radiographs, medications, and treatments, while maintaining a compassionate, organized team environment.

Qualifications

• Weekend work availability required.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; ability to lift over 25 pounds with assistance.
• Practice OSHA safety techniques including PPE.
• Basic math for dosage calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and prepare prescriptions.
• Perform in-house laboratory work and radiographs.
