Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to be trained and mentored for the right person
• General knowledge in animal behavior
• Ability to do basic math
• Clear and effective communication with clients and staff
• Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of shift
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs regularly

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians and Technicians in patient care
• Collect lab samples and run in-house tests or prep for shipment
• Float and help in various areas of the hospital to maintain schedule and patient care
• Help answer phones and fill prescriptions
• Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and treatment areas
• Educate clients on preventative care and perform phone triage
• Provide compassionate patient care
