Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation - Welkind (Chester) is hiring a Unit Secretary. The role provides clerical support on patient care units, handling orders, messages, and transportation arrangements in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Location is Chester, NJ. The position offers full-time weekday and weekend shifts with competitive hourly pay and benefits, including health, PTO, and a company 401(k) plan. Experience in a medical setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills required.
• Minimum 1 year of clerical experience in a medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to patient care units, including transcription of orders, filing of reports, and coordinating transportation and tests.
• Answer phones, relay messages, and maintain communication with nursing leadership.
• Process paperwork in a timely manner and manage supplies as needed.
• Verify physician privileges prior to transcribing orders.
• Transcribe and flag orders from charts and arrange patient transport for tests.
