Job summary

Clay Healthcare Center is seeking a part-time Transportation Assistant in West Virginia to help residents travel to doctor visits and on-site activities. You will ensure safety, monitor elopement risks, and support the care team with basic nursing tasks as needed.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, Nurse Aide training or eligibility, and Red Cross First Aid certification. Competitive wages and benefits offered within CommuniCare family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License in state of employment.
• Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enter one and graduate.
• Red Cross First Aid Certificate required.
• Healthcare or service-industry experience preferred.
• Compassionate and enthusiastic personality.

Responsibilities

• Transport and assist residents via facility vehicle to outside physician visits safely.
• Assist with transporting residents within the facility to scheduled appointments and activities.
• Provide one-on-one monitoring for elopement-risk residents during outside visits.
• Perform basic nursing care procedures as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment and resident documentation.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, safety, and infection-control standards; participate in training.
