Job summary

Clay Healthcare Center in Ivydale, WV is seeking a part-time Transportation Assistant to help residents travel to and from physician appointments and on-site activities. Rate: $8-15/hour. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and Nurse Aide training or eligibility with First Aid certification.

Compassionate, independent workers who can follow procedures are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include safe patient transport, documentation, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a current, valid driver's license.
• Graduate of Nurse Aide Training Program or be eligible and complete within 120 days of employment.
• Must possess Red Cross First Aid Certificate.
• Prior healthcare or service-industry experience preferred.
• Compassionate and enthusiastic personality.

Responsibilities

• Transport and assist residents to outside physician visits in a safe manner.
• Assist with transporting residents within the facility to scheduled specialty appointments.
• Assist with transporting residents to and from in-house activities.
• Provide one-on-one monitoring for residents at elopement risk on outside visits.
• Perform basic nursing care procedures as required.
• Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and meet their needs.
• Maintain resident documentation records.
• Adhere to departmental, center, and corporate policies and safety standards.
• Attend scheduled training and orientation to maintain certification and enhance care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
