Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech and language disorders across all ages at Marcum & Wallace Hospital. The role involves comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, and delivering individualized therapy to improve communication and swallowing functions.

The position requires state licensure as an SLP; CCC-SLP is preferred and must be obtained within one year. BLS is preferred/required by site timelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed SLP in the relevant state.
• CCC-SLP preferred at hire; required within one year.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred or required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and patient history to determine therapy needs.
• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans based on assessments.
• Administer SLP treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design rehab programs for speech, language, voice, and cognition.
• Educate patients and families on home therapy.
• Collaborate with health care team and participate in care conferences.
