Job summary

Mercy Health's Lourdes Hospital seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across ages. The role emphasizes comprehensive evaluations, tailored therapy plans, and education for patients and families.

The ideal candidate will have current state licensure and CCC-SLP is preferred at hire with completion within one year; BLS is also valued for certain sites.

Qualifications

Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of current practice (required).
CCC-SLP certification preferred at hire, required within one year.
BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for certain sites.

Responsibilities

Assess referrals, patient conditions, and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge plans based on assessments.
Administer speech language pathology treatments tailored to patient needs.
Design rehabilitative programs addressing language, articulation, swallowing, cognition.
Educate patients and families on home continuation of therapy.
Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in care conferences.
