Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for Willard Hospital to diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across age groups. You will design treatment plans and use varied therapeutic techniques to improve communication abilities. Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state is required.

CCC-SLP is preferred at hire and required within one year. BLS is preferred or required within 30 days depending on facility.

• Shows analytical ability to evaluate patient condition and progress.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals, patient conditions and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and determine treatment and discharge plans.
• Administer prescribed speech-language pathology treatments.
• Design rehab programs addressing language, swallowing and cognition.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in care conferences.
