Qualifications

• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of special needs transportation required for safe passenger handling.
• Ability to follow routes, schedules and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school transportation vehicle to transport students with disabilities and others to and from schools.
• Ensure student safety during loading/unloading and while on the bus; use restraints as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform pre/post trip checks and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain records of routes and mileage; communicate with staff and families as needed.
