Job summary

Bradley County Schools is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver (Substitute) to ensure the safe transportation of students across routes, field trips, and activities.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, maintaining discipline, completing transportation records, and reporting incidents promptly. A valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Initial and ongoing ability to follow procedures manuals and traffic signs.
• Prior experience as a school bus driver is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive bus on designated routes according to schedules.
• Transport students and staff on field trips and activities.
• Inspect bus daily to ensure safe operation and report deficiencies.
• Maintain student discipline and communicate effectively with staff and students.
• Complete required transportation records and reports.
