Job summary

Aurora Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Sonographer to join our radiology team in Oklahoma.

You will perform general, vascular and cardiac ultrasound studies, ensuring patient comfort and image accuracy while collaborating with physicians. The ideal candidate holds RDMS certifications in abdomen/OB-GYN, at least two years of experience, and a commitment to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited sonography program.
• RDMS abdomen and OB/GYN registrations desired.
• Vascular Technologist or related ARDMS/ARRT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac studies and distinguish normal from pathologic findings.
• Review medical records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select transducers and settings for quality images.
• Document findings and communicate with physicians.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout examinations.
• Record and code procedures for billing and patient charges.
• Assist with equipment evaluation and staff training as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and accreditation efforts.
• Adapt to age-specific patient needs and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling.
