Qualifications

• 2 years of sonography experience preferred.
• RDMS/BLS requirements or equivalent per department policy.

• Ability to review orders and ensure exam accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and cardiac studies.
• Reviews medical records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Positions patient, selects transducers and aligns factors for quality images.
• Identifies and labels images with patient data and study location.
• Documents billing codes and enters data into radiology information system.
• Mentors students/staff and supports QA initiatives.
• Communicates findings to physicians and supports patient safety.
