Job summary

The Salvation Army Helena Corps is seeking a Social Services Case Worker to support local families with emergency assistance, case management, and referrals in Helena, Montana. Responsibilities include intake, processing vouchers, maintaining client records in WellSky, generating reports, and coordinating with the Programs Manager in a fast-paced community service environment.

Preference given to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and experience serving at-risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work or related field.
• Minimum of one year experience in social work, customer service, or with at-risk populations.
• Knowledge of local resources and ability to make referrals.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and determine resolution.
• Prepare and process service vouchers for utilities, rental, transportation.
• Create client files in WellSky database.
• Maintain and update client information.
• Generate reports as needed.
• Receive and respond to correspondence.
• Provide admin support to department head.
• Assist with intake and front desk.
• Perform other administrative functions as directed.
